The Damsels are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. The Damsels are back! After many quests and an entire Saga, we have decided we really like Ravenloft! What we didn’t expect was a boss fight with an angel in his goth-phase. Then we ran around and around Baba Lasaga’s Hut! We talk all about it and more on this week’s podcast! Thanks so much for listening!

The Damsels of DDO Recorded Live on Sunday, June 9th 2AM Eastern. This is our 90th show!
Lessah jibberjabbers about things and Myth corrects and Sahba sleeps
So glad we are back!
Did I miss the Crystal Cove? 🙁
Still Need New Epic Rat Killer
Also gloves and gear for my Paladin!
What we learned this week:
Lessah: I learned that Goth-Angels are Scottish because they wear kilts!
Myth: Since the people upstairs couldn’t make us move out by stomping around on our heads day and night and having knock down drag out fights they have decided to drown us.
Sahba: I need a new guild (more about this later)
Rumors, News, and Lies
Reaper babies
Lessah will be on DDO Players News on Monday to talk about GenCon…and maybe some DDO???
We went to the Abbey to talk to the Abbot. After locating the key for some really strange guys we went in and found the Abbot. He seemed quite pleased with himself and what he was doing there and insisted that we read his journals so we could learn of his good works with the poor unfortunates and diseased people in his community. We implied that we would and took off to give ourselves a little tour of the place.
The place was of medium size and had some interesting things in it, including its residents. We did end up reading his journal, the pages of which were scattered around from room to room. We learned that the strange looking guys were people who had leprosy that he had experimented on by replacing parts with various animal parts. We also ran into a girl standing in a room who appeared to have been in one heck of a sword fight. Like maybe some super fast rapier moves or something. She didn’t speak to us but before we left we found out that he had “made” her to be the gift of a bride for Strahd. So her face was made from several different women.
We were standing in the garden, which was quite lovely, talking to a lady with a pretty coat and watching a rather odd reunion between two lovers when Strahd decided to show up. Apparently we had done something to upset him because he arrived angry and a fight ensued immediately. We were fighting next to a relatively sizeable pond (for the size of the yard) and eventually we ended up in the water. Wow! We should have been there the whole time! Turns out that pond is full of holy water!!
Old Baba’s Hut – No flagging required. A house sat on me and killed me. The end.
But really, we walked in to see what was in there and we saw Baba seated in a very large skull in front of her hut. She cackled and taunted us for a moment and then her hut stood up and walked over to me and sat on my head. Then it proceeded to rinse and repeat for Sahba and Lessah.

Housekeeping!
I got my license and now my job won’t stop asking me to pick up shifts. I went from working once every week and a half to four-five shifts a week overnight! The good news is, I can ask off when I need it. It doesn’t mean I’ll get it. When they call and ask me to cover a shift, I never say no. I’m weak and poor.
I also got locked out of my email. Anyone who tried to email me in the last 6-8 weeks. I didn’t get it. It’s all straightened out now, though!
Mythery – PLease make the cold spells work at least 50% of the time and design some pretty shoes. Thanks. 🙂
We have a website! Panaceith.com is up and running!
We also have a short story that has gone to the beta readers! Hopefully will go up on the website in the next two weeks!
Speaking of betas, we only have one beta who is reliable. We’d like another. Anyone interested can email us. I’d like to pick up one more reliable beta.

The Damsels are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. This week, Bachlagore from Friday’s on Ice joins us for some drow on dwarf action. Word to the wise, don’t let the dwarf lead the search party because they will fall into a large pool of acid and change the entire plotline of the story! Thanks so much for listening!

I rolled a cleric for my third life in my Permadeath static group on Ghandalla and I took divine destiny, but I can’t remember what it is or why I took it. I am so ready to heal my party!
What we learned this week:
Lessah: Bachlagore is REALLY fun to quest with!
I also learned that racey D&D stories make me discombobulated and confused for the entire quest.
Myth: I learned how to give my cat, Chance, insulin shots.
Sahba: I learned Lessah only likes racey D&D stories if it’s her characters that are involved :P. AND Lessah does not like commas.
Bachlagore: ?

EMAIL FROM STINGER DDO
THANK YOU for emailing and explaining the photo’s on the Doctor’s desk! He said it was the first doctor’s companion and granddaughter.
On that note, I’m on Episode 5 of season ten, “Oxygen” and it looks like the Doctor doesn’t even know why Nardole is watching him, because the guy’s like: “I was given strict orders to keep you at the University” and the Doctor says: “Who gave you that order?” and Nardole says: “You did.” I’m thinking that will shake out down the road.
Bladerunner 2049 – if you are thinking about seeing it, you should go see it! I LOVED IT! It’s not for everyone but I thought it was great and there were a lot of things in the movie I didn’t see coming and lots of callbacks to the original Bladerunner.
OUTLANDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (we can’t talk about all of it because Of HOUSE DIVIDED)
We have to talk… I have issues
Scottish Robinhood aka “Red Jaimie” Is he the only red-headed Scottish dude in the land? Like…could you mix him up with the 10,000 other redhaired hotties in the country or is he a genetic anomaly?
Gun safety in the 18th century is just as important as it is today…
Just goes to show that kids ruin EVERYTHING!
Jaimie: Don’t follow me! Kid: “Follows Jaimie to hideout and nearly gets Jaimie caught”
Jaimie: Stay away from this gun, Kid: takes the gun and shoots a bird right next to a british officer. On what planet is this a good idea?
Also… WHY WON’T YOU AGE LITTLE FRENCH BOY?! WHY?????
I love that Frank was finally getting some sexy time but…
I have to take Claire’s side first. He’s having sex with her, and he’s like…open your eyes. She’s like… dude, I’m trying to concentrate here, leave me alone!
Now we have to fight…
Claire tells Frank he can have a lady on the side as long as he’s discrete. Then she gets irritated when he actually goes and does it. Granted, it was poor planning on his part to bring the other woman over so quickly when she and her friends hadn’t left for the restaurant yet, but I call foul on her feeling even a shred of jealousy.
Riverdale!
We can’t talk about it because of the aforementioned reasons…
The Mines of Tethyamar
A while back we did Third Times the Charm so last night we decided to attack a few more of these quests. We did, Graveyard Shift, Records of the Past, and Strike Back. There is one left that I imagine we will get around to at some point called Desire in the Dark but I think that needs to wait for a while.
So, this is what happened or pretty close to it as I recall. Lessah said that we were supposed to meet our friend Bachlagore over in Eveningstar and Sahba and I thought that was a cool idea so we went over on her airship as far as we could go and then teleported the rest of the way. When we got there Lessah and he were already there and in a place called the Tethyamar Mines Outpost aka the Jewels of Ardor. Actually they were in a bar located in the mine area and Bachlagore was chatting up one of his dwarven friends named Hagen. Did I mention he was a dwarf? Anyway, his buddy was going on about this other guy, Egil Hakon, who went bat crap crazy and went about killing everyone down in the mine with him. Everyone except for Hagen and a few of his friends anyway. After a few rounds of “kill them until they’re dead, rah!” we were somehow talked into going in mineshaft 214S to look for this Hakon dude and get justice for the fallen men. I have to point out that while the finding and slaying of Mr. Egil Hakon did not take very long at all, it would have been even quicker had it not been that the undead remains of the fallen comrades were impeding our progress at every turn whilst trying to kill us! They are a thankless bunch. Just thankless.
After finishing that little chore Lessah, Bach, and I ran off to the bar and when we came out Sahba was walking away from a man who appeared to have been standing alone. She was shaking her head from side to side and had an odd look on her face. I asked her who it was and she said his name was Freygar Plumbline. She still had the puzzled look on her face so I asked her what was wrong and she explained that several weeks ago she had been talking to someone who had told her that they had heard there was a big library out here, which she thought that sounded crazy. Why would there be a library in a mine? But since there are a lot of things out here besides of just some holes in the ground she thought she may as well ask someone about it. When she did she got an ear full about some artifact called the Master Manifest. Which is supposed to be located deep within one of Tethyamar’s abandoned libraries. So apparently there are libraries, just not ones that are actually in use. It seems that the dwarves think there is some remarkable treasure located here in the mines and this manifest will be the key to unlocking the secret of locating this treasure. Not knowing how to find the treasure is only part of the dwarves problem. The other part is that the Drow are after it as well. Sahba says the guy tells her this manifest is in a place called Ironvale Deep and she thinks we should go help try to find it before the Drow get to it. I think she just wanted to get a look at this big old library. I must admit, it was pretty cool looking it there and we had to solve a reasonably slick puzzle to enter the place where the manifest was hidden. I didn’t know dwarves made puzzles like that. Once we found it we also found a Drow there too. We had to battle a bebilith the drow summoned before we could kill him. Which we did.
When we got out of the place I heard a lot of laughing, hooting, and hollering. Dwarves are excitable aren’t they? I looked over and Bach was grinning from ear to ear and I could see he was mouthing the chant “kill them till their dead, rah!” He came trotting up, still grinning and slightly out of breath he said “That was great guys! What’s next? We need to get those drow the hell outta there.” I shrugged and looked at Lessah, who looked at Sahba, who had her little battlemaster face on so I guess if the drow gotta go they gotta go. To the drow outpost!!!
We arrived and immediately saw a host of guards posted around the outside. I was up, I’m a drow and believe it or not skilled in the art of diplomacy so it wasn’t that hard to get us in past the guards. After that what happened, well, I’m not going to take responsibility for most of it. Maybe just a tiny piece but I didn’t start any fights. We were told to go straight in and not to make any detours. It wasn’t hard since we didn’t see any. When we got to the end we were told to wait in a room for our meeting with the High Priestess. We did go in the room but then we saw a room across the hall with a woman lounging in front of a mirror. Of course we had to go in there! Mostly what I remember about this encounter is that the woman was very cordial and complementary and wanted me to look into the mirror with her. I don’t remember much after that but I think that mirror must have been enchanted and everyone must have been looking in it too because when I came to notice what was going on again, Sahba was saying that we all were over confident and Bach was running down the corridor back to the front where we came in. Lessah and Sahba took off after him and all hell broke loose. I was told that Bach had fallen into the tar and that had caused the fray that ensued but I don’t really know since it was a while before I saw Lessah and Sahba again and even longer before Bach showed up.
Story 1: Horrible pack of dogs tore up our beach house, killed a sabertooth I was trying to tame and killed Mythery while she was gathering wood to fix it, AND killed her bird, Steve Trevor
Mythery: *comes back from being dead* Is Steve Trevor over there?
Me: Ummmmmm. *silence*
*awkward silence as we both realize he’s dead*
Mythery: *Ugly crying*
Story 2: Hatch a kitten, kill a kitten.
What happened was…the kitten wanted something we couldn’t provide.
Mythery: Where is my kitten? I can’t find it.
Me: Uhhhhhhh…. I think it’s gone.
Mythery: Gone? Like outside? Under the floor? *tears up the floor and wanders around the compound calling for a kitten*
Me: No I think it’s gone…to heaven.
Mythery: *continues to search in vain while crying*

Lessah: Gerard Dryden’s Mace works great on slimes
But what I really learned…I get to upload our show to the DDO You tube channel… I’m sorry, Cordovan.
Myth: Club of the holy flame has a minus to attack and damage because of the all the chicken meat still on it. (This weapon is less well made than normal. Giving a minus 1 penalty to attack and damage rolls)

Races:

Favorite? Any you don’t like?
Any you haven’t played? Why not?
Does your selected race depend on build? Does build depend on race?
Shadowhunters (Sahba says) OMG! Everyone is More or less back on their book plots.
I was very worried about Sebastian and I think there is a chance we might see him next season!
Issabelle and Rafael!!! Let the Fan Fiction begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sarah Hyland as the new fairy queen? Do we like this?
Salvation – Lessah needs to watch this. It’s pretty good and we have nothing else to watch!
There are three hot guys in it and one of them is very very evil!!
It’s about a possible apocalypse and who doesn’t love a good apocalypse?!?
Did I mention, there are three hot guys in it?
A Speedy Circus Recovery and a Dead Girl’s Spell Book
First I need to mention that all Reaper Baby rules are subject change at any time, for any reason. Example: if a quest is too annoying or boring or we just don’t like it for any reason we can do it on elite and forgo reaper level. This example is the new rule.
So, we did the circus chain in house P. Lessah put up a LFM and we got someone and by the time I got around to typing this I could only remember that his name started with an M but he was a favored soul that was part bard which was nich because he sung for us. Plus he did a really good job! He knew the quests really well and did things that helped, not the opposite. After the first quest we picked up another guy who, at first, we thought was probably Patrick since his name was Shamtastic. After playing for a bit we decided it wasn’t but you gotta admit, the name does sound like something that would be Patrick. We sped through the circus quests pretty fast without any real problems. They even tried to win me a teddy bear but no one was strong enough. I didn’t have my wrist balloon and didn’t get lost once!
Next we did Valak’s Mausoleum, where a ghost asked us to locate her spell book for her. I think this quest is a lot of fun but it seems like it’s one of the ones that doesn’t get played very often.
Loot –
Valak’s Mausoleum – Rose Diamond
Loot from the Carnival quest chain can be upgraded by obtaining a scroll, shard, and seal for each item when doing the quests on epic levels. Since everything is low level (3-ish) and we are not talking about epic questing here these items have not been included.

Crystal Cove
Two Toed Tobias’ lost hoard has been found! Tobias Warbuckle is a local urban legend, it is said that he pillaged and plundered the seas near and far. And he was so ruthless and miserly that his crew murdered him while sailing back to his home port in Three Barrel Cove. I’m not sure exactly who found it but it’s in Smugglers Cove and the Kobold Union have taken charge of mining the dragonshard crystals. We were offered a share in the profits if we went and helped/ protected them. Naturally we accepted the offer!
I have to say we earned our money. There were scores of skeletons, zombies, and hobgoblins in there, trying to kill the hard working kobolds. There was also a visit from Jack Jibbers, in giant wrath form. He is a very angry undead thing, isn’t he.
Loot – You do NOT need to create the lower-level items and upgrade them to get higher-level items; you can create the higher-level items directly. The exception to this is the Bottomless Flask of Rum.
Items are ml 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, and 24. Each level has three tiers of upgrades. *Except for the Glass Canon

Let’s talk about dwarves…
We rescue them constantly. They seem to be always in trouble.

Third Time’s a Charm
We were running around in the Tethyamar Mining Outpost, there is a really nice tavern over there, and Lessah starts talking to this guy named Eluf the Steadfast. What’s up with dwarves and their names anyway? Apparently this guy can’t keep up with his bros and is not any better at finding them once they are lost either. So of course, being the helpful pally that she is, Lessah tells him that we will go and find them for him. It was really quite nice looking for a mine, clean and spacious. I’m not real sure why these dwarves were so hard to locate. I think it was more that Eluf the Steadfast was more interested in saving his skin than he was saving his fellow dwarves. That place was loaded with mean and awful red eyed drow, deep crawler spiders, draegloth, umber hulk, and dretch. I guess there was an ogre but there was so much going on I didn’t notice him and I hear there is an elemental named Flare but we didn’t run into him. We found some of the dwarves in a chamber surrounded by lava and they were all ready for us to get them out of the place but most of the missing dwarves were held together at one end of the place and had been charmed to think they were part of the Drow crew and they fought that way too! Unfortunately, the combination of the charm spell they were under and their rather gung ho fighting ability caused many of them to lose their lives during the final squirmish. Eluf still gave us something for our trouble and then continued on to tell us that we weren’t done with our obligation yet. What has Lessah gotten us into this time?!?!
Our reaper babies have started necropolis! After necro 1 we only have to go to the circus and then it’s on to level 6 quests. When do we need to take another level. Seems like it should be close. ::thinking….. firewall firewall firewall::

I am here to tell you that for tiny little baby kittens we pack a powerful punch! We did two quests in house K and all of TBC!! TBC is fun and everyone should go out there and find their way to those quests and do them! Right now! OK, maybe not right now but soon. Three things the troglodytes get; 1 a fireball to the face, 2 all of their eggs smashed, and 3 a Damsel party on their bones!
These items have a chance of appearing in the end reward list of any of the Three-Barrel Cove (heroic) quests, except Guard Duty. Every third completion you will receive a complete list.
Pirate Treasure Map – Consumable – Before opening a chest, use this map, and for the next 15 seconds you will get a +1 bonus to the loot level of the chests you open.
One small correction, Lessah and Mythery confused the name of “Prove your Worth” with “Scoundrel’s Run”. Feel free to email us about how angry that makes you! Links below!

At least, that’s our new motto as Mythery and Lessah go on a victory lap of the Harbor in Reaper mode. The results were shockingly awesome! Oh Baby!
Sooooo, after talking about it for the last hmm… well it seems like a long time. Lessah and I have finally TR’d, which makes us teeny tiny little babies. I feel like a miniature kitten. Not a regular kitten but a itty bitty smidgen of kitten. We blew through Korthos. We did do all of it but it didn’t take long and then off we went to the Harbor to begin our foray into Reaper Mode. First, we have no gear. Neither of us has been 1 for more than a minute in the last ‘who knows when’ and certainly didn’t keep anything to wear. Second, I have two offensive spells. My fav level one, sonic blast, and magic missile. I’m not sure what Lessah is fighting with but what I am sure of is that it is not ghost touch. Something we do have are cookies! We have cookies, sun flasks, candy canes, ham, sea fog, jolly roger bombs, gems of ocean breeze, and probably some other things I can’t think of right now. Some of this we can’t use yet but some of it has been very useful! We also have a couple of giant rats that run around with us too. They are quite helpful.
OK, so we are 2 and ready to tackle level 2 quests. No sweat! We did them all so I need to just pike a few highlights I guess. I wish I could pick a favorite but I really loved them all! Reaper has added a little thrill to these quests that I think I really needed. Plus we were at level, had no gear, and for some reason didn’t think to get ship buffs. Yeah, and boy do ship buffs really make a difference! I guess the biggest challenge we had was Walk the Butcher’s Path. We didn’t finish the first time but we learned things. We learned that Lessah needed ghost touch, and if she killed the kobold shaman I could hug the reapers to death. We learned that if you run away the reapers will follow you. Old lessons are new again, like, clear the shrine first. It really can be important. When we went back the next day we had ship buffs and our rat friends and ran through without a problem, smooth as can be.
Loot – I wasn’t going to talk about loot yet and was going to wait until the chains we have started were completed but now that I have given it some thought I think some of the Korthos standard rewards deserve to be mentioned. If you have nothing (and we had nothing) some of those things are quite useful. I’m not going to list everything, just a few things.
This is part of a set. There are 8 sets that can be acquired by doing Sacrifices and Misery’s Peak.

Mythery and Lessah – Lessah made it to 30. Now what?
The 100 got renews for another season which means I have to go another season watching Bellamy making eyes at Clark and her not realizing it.
Can we talk about how amazing Octavia is?
Black and Blue
I guess we have a new cult in Stormreach. They are called, Cult of the Dragon Below. I guess they worship the cast off belongings of giants because they spend their time searching for Giantish artifacts. I think they hired dragons to protect them and their artifacts or maybe they worship dragons too. I’m not exactly sure but they managed to lose one of them. They had a dragon named Urgnonth protecting this site in the Xen’drick jungle and now he is missing. This lady in the marketplace, Mikyra asked us to go find out what happened to him. Did we? Yes!
He didn’t seem so lost to me and he was mean. He tried to kill us every time we saw him and he electrified the water in the pathways. Mean mean dragon.
The Damsels are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. What’s important? Apparently raids! We ran the Chronoscope and went back in time to try and save Nat and Nell Gan! Nat is dead, I’m pretty sure and we left Nell in the past, so we screwed that up as well! At least we tried! Sorry, Stormreach! Thanks so much for listening!

Share please…at the door of a quest where a quest giver is the door and you can’t get through it w/o talking to him…this laziness is still going on!
Remember way back when I said I was trying to kill 12,000 spiders to get a free spider companion?
The slog continues! 5,000 favor. We ran a three man of the shroud and I have never seen Narc so uptight as when he was worried about that wall.

The Chronoscope
Once upon a time, many years ago there was a big red tent in the center of the Marketplace. Inside the tent, vendors of all sorts gathered to sell their wares. There was armor, weapons, potions, reagents, wands, scrolls, and just about anything you could think of or need. Then one dark day the unthinkable happened. A horrible horde of devils and fiends came and declared war on Stormreach. The poor unsuspecting residents of Stormreach were just going about their day when portals from Shavarath started to appear in random places all over the Marketplace. This lasted for several days and then suddenly one day, a large portal formed over the big tent. It was enormous and churning like a big red whirlpool. The vendors moved out of the tent, most of them went to the Rusty Nail. It was terrifying!
Why am I telling you about this? Because this quest is about Nat Gann. Prior to this event, Nat was a pole dancer and spent his time entertaining people in the Marketplace, just outside the tent area where the pawn brokers are. But the word is, that during the invasion Nats legs were broken and then he just disappeared. His sister, Nelle, like any good sister would, wants to find him and is going to look for him. Her father, Nolan, is naturally worried about her and had asked us to go and keep her safe. To get to the Chronoscope Excavation site, which was where we thought she was, we had to take an airship from Falcon’s Spire. Once we got there we met a mindflayer and some stuff happened and we got sent back in time. Here is something I found over in the Twelve. I had a copy made. Did you know they have copiers over there? Yup, a whole room full of them! It says it’s fromthe Morgrave University archives — “Ancient fables speak of the Chronoscope teleporting Giant armies across Xen’drik during the Dreaming Dark war. But the Dragons of Argonnessen forbade any further use as a danger to the draconic Prophecy. It is unclear what threat such teleportation poses to the Prophecy.” I guess that has something to do with what happened. Anyway, wow I had forgotten what a mess the Marketplace was back then. We had to fight a lot of devils and abishai and some random tieflings that were running around but we did finally find Nelle. Man! She looked terrible! Lessah did something and fixed her. I don’t know but I had some talk about moisturizer. Must have been some really good stuff because it took about 50 years off of her. From here on it seemed to me like we were just running around looking everywhere. Really, behind things, under things, on things. We went through a plethora of portals, in the steam tunnels, on the roof, back and forth, forth and back. We killed a conjoined abishai, which was made of 5 other abishai but the only time we saw Nat Gann was just a mere glimpse of him being questioned in the Phoenix Tavern shortly after we arrived. So, we decided it was time to leave but Nelle had other plans and said she wasn’t going back. I was a little worried that her father would be upset with us when we showed up without her but she said she would write him a letter to explain and we left.
The Damsels are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. We went back to the Siber Atoll. Because if at first you don’t succeed, go back and try your luck again! We got it done but now we need three more gems before they allow us anywhere near the quest. Sheesh! Thanks so much for listening!

Our episodes are not being posted in the DDO channel…are we in trouble?
5,000 favor is doable without having to run every raid! There is HOPE for me! (I’m at almost 4,000 favor right now and we haven’t finished cleaning up level 15-17 favor)
Nina Bonina was a little salty about not getting the role in the musical she wanted.
Eureka…
Phera Moan and Cynthia Fontaine…which one?
Reaver’s Reach in the Siber Atoll (continued)
Enter the Kobold
We finished this time. Really, I think that’s enough said about this quest. This creepy kobold and his freak friends, the living spells, have had quite enough air time. Dead done over.
Oh, and if you mess around long enough that your friends finish the puzzle you can hop right through to the other side in three moves. Easy peasy.
Loot
No named loot in this this hot dusty dirty mountain.
Prey on the Hunter
We went to Aussircaex’s Valley, holy cats it’s cold there! We were there to get a Dragonshard Essence but what we found was a bunch of crazy Frost Giants trying to steal dragon eggs. Apparently there was a husband and wife team of dragons there guarding the essence and the wife had laid eggs while they were there. I guess the giants decided they were just going to take them and raise some little dragons for themselves. Either that or they were thinking of some bacon and eggs for breakfast. I don’t know. I also don’t know how it is possible to miss a 4 x 10 foot lever. I think Sahba decided it was too dangerous for her to stick around with us because one minute she was there and the next she was gone. Yep, she just up and left us in a big frozen mountain full of giants and dragons! But we were determined and stuck to the plan. And even though we stopped the giants and made a deal with the dragons guarding the essence, I got the feeling that Lessah was considering swiping those dragon eggs herself.
Loot
Hey, guess what? There is some actual named loot here. It’s called the toothpick and it is a masterwork rapier of greater giant bane, ml12 (probably could have used something like that a little sooner huh?).
Stealer of Souls
Did you think we were done out here? We are not! The best is yet to come! We received an essence for completing each of the quests out here. Those will get us into the quest Stealer of Souls. Great quest and I can’t wait! But, in order to get into the explorer area where the quest lives we need three of six gems which come from other explorer areas. More specifically; gianthold, the desert, the orchard, and the three areas out here. All six of the gems have long crazy names and you can look them up in the wiki. It will be good practice for you. We are in the process of getting those now and I imagine we will have them by the time we meet again. I have a very wild imagination so who knows.

I foresee some MAJOR drama this time!!!!
The Sane Asylum, etc…
We did Spies in the House and VON 3 before doing The Sane Asylum. First was Spies in the house. In house D this d’Denieth dude says he wants us to go down a road, Blood Road to be exact, just to see what is down there and if there happens to be any bad pirates we should kill them. Really? Then he says the road is “right there” and has us jump in the sewer. I knew there wasn’t any road down there but I went anyway. There wasn’t. There was a lot of jumping to be done to get out of the sewer and I’m happy to report that we did a pretty good job at that. And yes, there were some bad pirates that needed killing as well as a couple of gargoyles that had apparently been down there way too long. They were nuts.
Von 3 is same as it ever was.
The Sane Asylum is not so sane. I guess the rulers of the Twelve had placed an informant in there. To me that’s just odd to start with. He went missing. What did they expect? We were supposed to go find him and get him out. Honestly, I don’t recall seeing him. Of course I’m not so sure about what I did see so… I think there were daydreams and nightmares and supposed reality. Quite a few relatives of Fred and Fred himself and a beholder called Nurse Ratchet who was doing nasty things. Oh, I did see the right and wrong eyes but I didn’t bother them. They were crazy.

Bargain of Blood – Reaper Mode
Soooooo, I just talked about this quest. Not last time but the time before, so Sahba picked it this time so I would have nothing to say tonight. It was a little different this time though. We actually did the quest AND was did it on Reaper mode. It was only one skull but I did learn a few things in there.
Going slowly really does work sometimes. OK, I already knew this but it happens so infrequently I might have forgotten.
Standing 15 – 20 feet above the person trying to kill you and throwing fireballs at them is a great idea. Fine, I knew this too but it makes a lot of sense in here.
Don’t let Lessah near the lost souls if you actually need them. Shoulda known this. 🙂
Take a healer because trying to heal yourself is stupid.
It makes me happy that maybe now I can play my healers and be appreciated again.
One skull isn’t really that hard but I did notice that one of the named guys was CR 48. The quest was level 22 and we were 21.
What are some of the real features of reaper mode?
Monster damage up, player damage down.
Self healing, keyword “self”, waaaaaaay down. 1 skull 40% less than normal, 4% less each skull to 4% at 10 skulls!!!! Wow!
Killing an enemy may result in a lost soul being dropped. Consuming (dbl click on it) it will give back sp. It is 5(base quest level+3). Hirelings can’t use them. Bummer!
There is a death timer. About 6 seconds and if you run away from you stone and rubber band the timer restarts.
If you leave the instance you can NOT come back and no one else can come in either (no swapping out characters or adding a new player).
You get full hp, sp, and ki when entering the dungeon but this isn’t like a rest. Ex: if you have death penalties you will still have them.
CC spells don’t last as long.
You cannot enter a quest if you are more than six levels over the base quest level.
If you are an epic level character you cannot enter a heroic level quest.
XP – There is extra xp given and there are a great many things that affect how much xp is given. Check the wiki.
A little about reapers.
They look like wraiths.
They all wear deathblock.
Don’t bother with things like trip, grease, earthquake, or any other ground type effect.
Kinds of reapers.
Carnage Reaper
Hits like a truck. Even in low level reapers, carnage reaper may one-shot you.
Inflicts a vulnerability debuff of 20% more damage. Stacks up to 10 times.
Likes to engage in melee.
Famine Reaper
Casts various spells
Every 10 seconds, gains a stack of Doom Caster: This caster’s spells will hit harder and fail less.
Affects nearby characters with Reaper: Slowing Touch: The Reaper’s touch gnaws at your form, slowing your movement and preventing tumbling. Bestowed automatically when you enter Reaper’s melee range for 4 seconds. Combat log: -50% movement, -20 melee speed, -20 ranged speed
Will teleport to player if it loses line of sight for long.
Fear Reaper
Has an AoE stacking DoT effect (“Fear of Death”) that damages all characters until the reaper is destroyed.
Has a radius around him where “Fear of Death” doesn’t apply. So, anyone within the radius of the fear reaper is safe from the effect.
Doesn’t like to come close to the players. Usually stays in initial position, but would like to have line of sight.
Has a melee attack. Hits hard, but in line with champs.
Plague Reaper
Melee. Hits like the fear reaper, but he inflicts healing debuff. Basically, trying to heal the person hit by the plague reaper is useless.
Will teleport if player is too far.
Loot
There are three vendors to speak to about items. Each requires a different amount of reaper experience before they will talk to you,

Before we start!
I only had time to watch Supergirl, Legends, and the first episode of the 100. I am not even caught up on Black Sails. This is SAD! This school stuff is cutting into my TV time.
Myth catch me up on what I need to get caught up on first!
You missed Shadowhunters?!?!? And what about Magicians? I wonder when Orphan Black is coming back and did you know this is the final season? Sad. 🙁
Tower of Frost
Loved this quest! The place is pretty big and pretty pretty. So this guy, Theobald the Antiquarian is behind on the rent for his tower and for some reason we were sent in to find him and tell him to pay up. Well. I guess we’ve done stranger things. Also, it was snowing inside of the place! He had secured himself in the top of the tower and in order to get to him we had to kill lots of monsters like; orcs, dretch, satyrs, trolls, ice mephits, ice elementals, salamanders, winter wolves, animated swords and shield, frost giants, hedges and topiaries, living disintegrate, some named things, and the best of all….CRAWLING COINAGE!
There are several things that need to be accomplished in order to finish the quest. When you get to the top of the tower there will be a portal you need to enter to get to Theobald but you can’t get in without tossing the Eye of Risia in first. There are 4 wards on the eye that maintain a little force field around it, those need to be disabled. These are located in various places on the way up. BTW that thing is COLD! Actually everything is cold. When you go to the kitchen you will find yourself in the fridge. Yes, inside of the refrigerator. There are various things to gather and use that will allow you to progress up the stairs such as; a lantern and a claim ticket. The optionals are fun too! Applying things to the altar in the summoning circle will get you a fight and a chest.
Also was pleasantly surprised to hear Jerry as the DM.
Loot –
Bottled Winter – Consumable, ML1, BtA: Casts a Fortitude saving condition against target and any enemies in a small radius. Drops occasionally in stack of five (elite) from the end chest.
Favorite part was the illusionarium; Jerry as a narrator.

Before we start!
I only had time to watch Supergirl, Legends, and Flash 🙁 This school stuff is cutting into my TV time.
House D Sentinels of Stormreach – Pirates? Zombies? Zombie Pirates!
Bargain of Blood – It all starts in the searing heights where the Blood Tide have set up the Bargain Bazaar to sell their booty. This of course ticks off the merchants of Stormreach and therefore must be shut down once and for all! Ultimately the general manager must die and that’s awesome because he is a kobold riding a minotaur. Yes, that’s a thing. There are three optionals and bunches of traps.
No named loot.
The Black Loch – Slay your way through the loch while collecting keys along the way to make progress. Kill the necromancer on the big ship in the middle and get the key that unlocks the door to the treasure room!
No named loot.
Storm the Beaches – The Blood Tide pirates have occupied Mistral Island in the Straits of Shargon and are fortifying their base there. You need to lead the island strike force.
There are three ways to get there but we always take the boat that puts you out away from the main part of the action. You need to destroy all their balista and make your way to the innermost part of their base and destroy a dimension anchor there.
No named loot.
The Tide Turns – This is my favorite one but you have to do the first three in order to get this one. Go to the Sentinels Tower and fight your way to the top. There are lots of traps and some choices to make but once you get to the top to fight Captain Tew, he’s a rat!! There are also some water eles and a genie and if you’ve done elite, three end chests. (actually there can be a total of eight chests in the whole quest)
Loot – All bta, ml 5, and have unraveling enchantments. Upgrade with sigils goat, lion, and dragon.

Therapy
There is around 26mg of caffeine in each 8oz glass of tea. The effects can last up to six hours. You need to stop drinking tea six hours before you want to sleep.
Caffeine works by changing the chemistry of the brain. It blocks the action of a natural brain chemical that is associated with sleep. Here is how it works.
If you read the HowStuffWorks article How Sleep Works, you learned that the chemical adenosine binds to adenosine receptors in the brain. The binding of adenosine causes drowsiness by slowing down nerve cell activity. In the brain, adenosine binding also causes blood vessels to dilate (presumably to let more oxygen in during sleep).
Adenosine is produced by your daily activity. For example, the article How Exercise Works discusses how muscles produce adenosine as one of the byproducts of exercise.
To a nerve cell, caffeine looks like adenosine. Caffeine, therefore, binds to the adenosine receptors. However, it doesn’t slow down the cell’s activity as adenosine would. The cells cannot sense adenosine anymore because caffeine is taking up all the receptors adenosine binds to. So instead of slowing down because of the adenosine level, the cells speed up.

The Damsels of DDO are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. This week we took Sahba Jade’s gnome to the Depths. Sahba and I watched the Netflix, A Year in the Life, Gilmore Girls special thingy
The Depths
Last night we did the depths. It was quick, fun, and easy. Of course, we were 2 to 3 levels over the quest level. So there’s that. But those quests are just fun! And there are plenty of chests and quite a few collectables. Plus, Lessah let us in on the secrete activities of Paladin Conventions. Who knew falafels were so popular AND that they have a mandatory bedtime of nine o’clock?! Evidently they are a rambunctious group, telling jokes and anecdotes. Lessah really has a doozy saved up for the next con! I would tell you but I wouldn’t want it to get out and spoil the convention for her.
We also did Purge the Heretics and Caged Trolls. Caged Trolls is another quest I really like, for some reason I like going from room to room and freeing the trolls only to kill them. I think one of the reasons this quest became a favorite is because this is around the level when everything seems to be a killing undead quest and this is a little break from that. None of these quests has any named loot so that means we get to talk about War Wizard Commendation Rewards!
LOOT!!
You can trade 3 of any other commendation for 1 war wizard commendation.
The Damsels of DDO are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. We went to the Night Revels event this time, thank goodness Sahba took time to farm all those keys! Being Sahba is a thankless job. Especially when Mythery gets lost in Delera’s Graveyard! Thanks so much for listening!

Night Revels
For some reason we decided to spend some time running around in Delera’s Graveyard. Ya, we’re strange. Oh wait, I know why! Cuz there’s a party going on out there. Something that doesn’t happen often or last for long. There are six quests out there that are set up more like challenges because you collect certain items from each quest and then once you have acquired enough of these things there is a guy outside of the graveyard that will trade with you for things like; weapons, armor, cosmetics, companions, consumables, and augments. The quests are:
Under New Ravagement– In this one you are teleported to the Sharn Syndicate quest, Stand Your Ground where you will fight ghouls, mummies, and zombies and receive a reward of spooky almonds.
The Snitch and the Lich – This one teleports you to the House P quest The Snitch to fight more mummies, zombies, some skeletons, and a lych to get some Sinister cinnamon.
The Damsels of DDO are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. The Damsels rolled up their sleeves and helped a bunch of Archons. Can’t those guys do their own clean up? We also ate some bad jello and fought red-faced kobolds. Talk about legendary! Thanks so much for listening!

Best part of the show “Party”
I think they announce the winner this week, and we can move on to another show. I was told to watch West World, but that will cost me money. (Still watching Sherlock with hubs, can’t complain there, he’s finally watching a show that doesn’t star Bruce Campbell)
We did the two flagging quests for the legendary Shroud.
To Curse the Sky (To kiss this guy)
First we went to clear the devils out of one of House Deneith’s fortresses. When we got there what we found that was some sort of war between some Abishai and Archons and of all things, Malicia was there and apparently in charge. It looked like the Abishai were winning because there were downed Archons all over the place. We helped the ones we could and made our way through the place, killing devils, orthons, slaad, and abishai all the way. In one room we came across a erinyes, which is some sort of devil but it looks more like a human with horns and wings. The place was big and really clean. This must be one of the nicer fortresses. We cleaned the place out and there was one room left, which is where we found Malicia. She had a lot of abishai minions but we beat them and then beat her. I wonder if we actually killed her this time?
Creeping Death (Kobold Jello Molds, a how-to guide to spice up your holiday cooking!)
I thought this quest was great! I loved the red jelly cube. It reminds me of the wall in the shroud for some reason. There were quite a few traps, oozes, and kobolds on steroids. These are the beefiest kobolds I’ve ever met. One of Harry’s Lieutenants was riding around inside of the cube trying to kill us. He looked pretty happy and I think it was his pet cube. In order to get through the place we had to get the cube to move of some runes in the floor. This was accomplished by disabling the traps, pulling some levers, and solving a couple of puzzles. Every time we managed to get the cube over a rune it was teleported to someplace else in the sewers but we did finally catch up with him. We fought him and his minions, there were some air traps in the room that couldn’t be disabled but it was OK. I think Lessah was having fun rides across the room on them.
Apologies to Mythery for locking her in with a jello mold that killed her instantly. Was hard to watch.
