The Damsels are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. The Damsels went pugging again this episode! Our new LFM is the DDO Stream! We had a good time and ran some solid, classic quests that everyone knows like the back of their hand…or so we thought. Thank goodness the Damsels had a guide! Mythery got lost repeatedly and Lessah got inebriated! Fun times were had by all! This episode is called Stormcleave because we have done “The Tide Turns” already! Thanks so much for listening!

The Damsels of DDO Recorded Live on Sunday, February 4th 2AM Eastern. This is our 83rd show! And this is really the 83rd show. I checked.
Lessah jibberjabbers about things and Myth corrects and Sahba sleeps [zzzzz]:
We pugged last night and it was great! Thanks Kudesnik..I mean…nevermind.
Mythery and I are on our last life victory lap with the reaper babies.
It’s mostly me pushing to do all the quests. I want the +5 tome you get for 5000 favor.
Here is the conundrum; I don’t like TOEE. We need to do it.
Thank you to Fierce Fred for giving me the recipes I needed to make the snow elemental! I take back a few of the bad names I’ve called you. (he camped me in the tavern last night!)
What we learned this week:
Lessah: Never leave a bottle of interesting-looking liquor within reach of Lessah.
Myth: Stop trying to make me learn things!! I learned that Lessah puts hyphens where they don’t belong. Actually, I already knew that. hahahaha
Risia Ice Games and Midwinter Festival begin Thursday and run through Feb 7.
Thanks for the purple coin, Lessah :).
Question of the show – Desert Island Discs – Eight tracks, a book, and a luxury: what would you take to a desert island?
Before we start! Spoiler!!!
The Good Place
Riverdale
1st two episodes.
This show is slowly being ruined for me…
Ru Paul’s Drag Race All Stars season 3
Episode 1, this season looks so good! So many of my favorite queens came back.
I cry every time Milk is on screen because he’s so damn handsome out of drag.
Ben Dela Creme, the terminally delightful queen. She really showed me who she was in the end.
Episode 2, Shangela the Mother of Dragons and John Snow Kennedy Davenport. I didn’t think Thorgy was going to win it but I enjoyed all that shade she threw on her way out.
I just started a new show but I’m not sure if it’s going to be any good yet. Counterpart – Starz
Wha…?
Last night we played our reaper babies and picked up some random souls along the way. The one I remember the best was Jaz. Jaz is full of energy and excitement and seems to know the quests pretty well but the main thing about him is his voice. More specifically his accent, he is from Baaaston. In my mind he is from the deep deep center of Boston, surrounded by only other people from Boston, and TV and radio are only broadcast by other people from Boston. Thus giving him this very deep bostonian swagger to his voice, devoid of Rs and a hint of kick assitude. I was only moderately disappointed that he never used the word wicked. At least I don’t think he did. Anyway, we finished the house D chain and finished up by doing Stormcleave. It was a lot of fun!
PS: Lessah was drunk. 🙂
Loot
The named items from the house D quests have something called unraveling enchantments. This means that the enchantments placed on the items have weakened over time and you can use the goat, lion, and dragon sigils to restore the items to their original powers. Behind the tower that houses the Tide Turns quest is a contraption called Visbane’s Folley where you place the item and the chosen sigil in order to restore it. Norbert Visbane will teleport you there is you are too lazy to walk and have completed the Tide Turns. AND if you are too lazy to get them by doing the quests, the sigils can be purchased from Visbane’s Folly for 15 astral shards.

So here’s what happened. I can’t count.
Myth! We forgot to do the forgotten caverns.

Lessah: Never let Sahba get to the quest first.
Never say things like “we haven’t seen a reaper yet”
Myth: I learned that Brad is alive!
Sahba: Always get to the quest first.

Question of the show – Should there be more given to VIPs, to get non VIPs to become VIPs?
Reaper Babies and a vampire
Draculetta likes to talk about things he doesn’t like to do on his podcast. It is our sworn duty to show him how wonderful those things are and thereby enriching his gaming experience and as a result his life. Therefore, when he declared that he did not like doing reaper quests we were obligated to take him through several. We did the Chronoscope. We’ve already talked about that so I just want to say that it was a ton of fun and we pick up some hitchhikers along the way. No Bob blessed us with his presence. Plus we had a Bard! Bard buffs are the best! Then we went to House D looking for some pirates to tangle with. First we went to an odd place in the Searing Heights called the Bargain Bazaar? Blood Bazaar? Something… I thought it was going to be like an outdoor mall but on the way over Lessah said it was where they sell people. Crazy, right? I don’t know, she might have been right. All I know is that whatever was going on there it wasn’t good. We cleaned that place out though. And the guy running the place, it was a kobold riding a minotaur. Some weird stuff going on here.
Next we went to the Black Loch. Mostly what I remember about this place is……DON’T LOOK AT THE WATER! I try to stay out of the water since it puts out fire and I pretty much just burned up everything I came in contact with. Sooooo Drac, what’s so bad about reaper quests? It looked like you were having fun to me.

Question of the show – if Lessah couldn’t be a Paladin and Myth couldn’t be a caster, and Draculetta can’t be a ranged-type, what would they be?
Before we start!
Riverdale
Outlander
The Walking Dead
Ravenloft
We met up with Draculetta so he could show us around Ravenloft but I don’t think he knows his way around either or maybe not just the woods we were in. So we were wandering around in the woods, talking to random strangers, when Lessah was teleported away from the rest of us. She also said the guy took her money. So we went to look for her which turned out to be a lot tougher than we thought it would be. Soon enough we lost Sahba and Drac and I were left alone. Eventually we arrived at a tavern called the Blood on the Vine Tavern. Who do we find in the tavern? Yes, it was Lessah and Sabha. Not sure how they ended up there but at least we were all back together. There are a lot of nasty things in those woods. There are witches and wolves and minotaur skeletons! Seriously, this is the first time I’ve ever seen undead minotaur bones walking around. We found a lady called Magdelena the Curious and she talked us into going the a place called the Death House. Because EVERYONE wants to go in a house named Death, of course. Pretty much as soon as we entered we heard a voice talking to us. A creepy little voice that seemed to encourage us to find it and it’s companions. The house was pretty nice looking for something referred to as Death. We wandered from room to room fighting things like brooms and swords, crazy objects that should be inanimate. The voice kept talking about mommy and daddy and some monster locked in the basement. Every so often we would find some weird note left behind for one person or another. What I gathered from all of this was that mommy and daddy were in a cult or wanted to join a cult…. I’m not exactly sure but what I am sure of is that they weren’t very good parents. They locked the children in their room where they starved to death and daddy was having an affair with the nanny or maybe it was the maid. It didn’t do her much good to hook up with daddy though because I think mommy got the best of her and locked her in a trunk where she eventually joined the children in the afterlife. We did find the bones of the children and Lessah managed to lay them to rest so that was one good thing. Everyone seemed to have abandoned this house of death and it seemed to be quite empty. Empty until we arrived in the basement where apparently the monster still lived. He doesn’t live there anymore. Magdelena the Curious appeared to be very surprised when we came back to tell her about our little adventure. It seems that she never expected to see us again. Awful woman.

It sucks here right now but Gulf Coast residents are very resilient.
What we learned this week:
Lessah: In my area…Creeks empty into Reservoirs which empty into a Bayeux which goes to a larger body of water like…the Houston Ship Channel…that leads to the Gulf of Mexico.
At any time, if a dam or levee breaks upstream of your house…you are screwed.
This happened in Brazoria County, my home tome, the place where I learned to be me, graduated high school, where my brother still lives and can’t go home because the roads are still impassible. He told me today that he qualifies for FEMA assistance. I won’t lie, I cried.

What to do when you don’t know what to do with your guest
First, play with a marilith. Step 1. Have your friend kite a large snake-like thing with lots of arms holding knives around while you kill djinn and anything else that happens to pop up. Step 2. Repeat step 1 two more times. Step 3. Gang up on the marilith and kill it. Step 4. Take it’s loot. Your guest is sure to love this!
Next, get on an airship with a guy who will force you to jump off over open water somewhere and hope you don’t die. Swim under water until you find a crack in the ground and swim into it. What the heck, you aren’t doing anything else and you need to show your guest a good time. If you are lucky like us you will find several different places with very different terrain to take your guest under the water. We had snow covered mountains with snow wolves and snow giants. Lovely gardens with a multitude of undead creatures and a hot desert like place which mostly consisted of gnolls. All in all I think we were able to show our guest a good time without breaking our budget. There was plenty of XP to be had and quite a few chests to loot!

A Speedy Circus Recovery and a Dead Girl’s Spell Book
First I need to mention that all Reaper Baby rules are subject change at any time, for any reason. Example: if a quest is too annoying or boring or we just don’t like it for any reason we can do it on elite and forgo reaper level. This example is the new rule.
So, we did the circus chain in house P. Lessah put up a LFM and we got someone and by the time I got around to typing this I could only remember that his name started with an M but he was a favored soul that was part bard which was nich because he sung for us. Plus he did a really good job! He knew the quests really well and did things that helped, not the opposite. After the first quest we picked up another guy who, at first, we thought was probably Patrick since his name was Shamtastic. After playing for a bit we decided it wasn’t but you gotta admit, the name does sound like something that would be Patrick. We sped through the circus quests pretty fast without any real problems. They even tried to win me a teddy bear but no one was strong enough. I didn’t have my wrist balloon and didn’t get lost once!
Next we did Valak’s Mausoleum, where a ghost asked us to locate her spell book for her. I think this quest is a lot of fun but it seems like it’s one of the ones that doesn’t get played very often.
Loot –
Valak’s Mausoleum – Rose Diamond
Loot from the Carnival quest chain can be upgraded by obtaining a scroll, shard, and seal for each item when doing the quests on epic levels. Since everything is low level (3-ish) and we are not talking about epic questing here these items have not been included.

Why won’t Drac pike off us in Reaper mode?
We completed level 4’s onto level 5’s! Mythery is taking negative XP pots!
Shawdowhunters is back! And I am loving it! Magnus Bane tho
More Reaper Babies!
We did Irestone Inlet, two Tangleroot quests, and the Sharn Syndicate. This means we are done with level 4 quests and have completed about three of the level 5 quests. We still have about 40k until we have to take a level.
I keep hearing myself say “It’s been so long since I’ve done this quest” and I guess sometime it’s true but I think most of the time it’s just that I blow through them without giving them much thought. Suddenly I’m paying attention and thinking about them. Sheesh, I don’t recall Irestone being so challenging. Gotta love reaper mode!
Loot –I wasn’t even going to talk about the loot for Sharn Syndicate because I think it is an embarrassment for the level of that quest chain. After giving it a little more thought I decided I would say something even though I have not bothered to include a list of the items here. The items are account bound, ML 2, and are quite nice for a level 2 character with no gear. My suggestion is, if you are a level 2 character with no gear, you should go do this quest chain on normal and get these items while they are useful to you. It’s a level 4 quest chain so it would be like doing level 2 quests on elite. Although you might want to take some friends along. The Bookbinder Rescue and Come out and Slay will be challenging for a level 2. 🙂

At least, that’s our new motto as Mythery and Lessah go on a victory lap of the Harbor in Reaper mode. The results were shockingly awesome! Oh Baby!
Sooooo, after talking about it for the last hmm… well it seems like a long time. Lessah and I have finally TR’d, which makes us teeny tiny little babies. I feel like a miniature kitten. Not a regular kitten but a itty bitty smidgen of kitten. We blew through Korthos. We did do all of it but it didn’t take long and then off we went to the Harbor to begin our foray into Reaper Mode. First, we have no gear. Neither of us has been 1 for more than a minute in the last ‘who knows when’ and certainly didn’t keep anything to wear. Second, I have two offensive spells. My fav level one, sonic blast, and magic missile. I’m not sure what Lessah is fighting with but what I am sure of is that it is not ghost touch. Something we do have are cookies! We have cookies, sun flasks, candy canes, ham, sea fog, jolly roger bombs, gems of ocean breeze, and probably some other things I can’t think of right now. Some of this we can’t use yet but some of it has been very useful! We also have a couple of giant rats that run around with us too. They are quite helpful.
OK, so we are 2 and ready to tackle level 2 quests. No sweat! We did them all so I need to just pike a few highlights I guess. I wish I could pick a favorite but I really loved them all! Reaper has added a little thrill to these quests that I think I really needed. Plus we were at level, had no gear, and for some reason didn’t think to get ship buffs. Yeah, and boy do ship buffs really make a difference! I guess the biggest challenge we had was Walk the Butcher’s Path. We didn’t finish the first time but we learned things. We learned that Lessah needed ghost touch, and if she killed the kobold shaman I could hug the reapers to death. We learned that if you run away the reapers will follow you. Old lessons are new again, like, clear the shrine first. It really can be important. When we went back the next day we had ship buffs and our rat friends and ran through without a problem, smooth as can be.
Loot – I wasn’t going to talk about loot yet and was going to wait until the chains we have started were completed but now that I have given it some thought I think some of the Korthos standard rewards deserve to be mentioned. If you have nothing (and we had nothing) some of those things are quite useful. I’m not going to list everything, just a few things.
This is part of a set. There are 8 sets that can be acquired by doing Sacrifices and Misery’s Peak.

Wait a minute! This whole show has been all things Mythery!
Mythery has forgotten more about DDO than most people will ever know!

Trap! Ahhh! Saving the Mayor’s daughter has never been so entertaining!
What do you mean we aren’t OP enough to get that Intel rune? We are…level two…nevermind.

Housekeeping!
I have had a great deal of mic problems as of late. I did what any non-tech savvy person would do…I complained to my significant other who didn’t even blink an eye as he said. “Buy another one. In fact, buy two, because I know you.”
The Damsels are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. We went back to the Siber Atoll. Our episodes are not being posted in the DDO channel…are we in trouble?
5,000 favor is doable without having to run every raid! There is HOPE for me! (I’m at almost 4,000 favor right now and we haven’t finished cleaning up level 15-17 favor)
Nina Bonina was a little salty about not getting the role in the musical she wanted.
Eureka…
Phera Moan and Cynthia Fontaine…which one?
Reaver’s Reach in the Siber Atoll (continued)
Enter the Kobold
We finished this time. Really, I think that’s enough said about this quest. This creepy kobold and his freak friends, the living spells, have had quite enough air time. Dead done over.
Oh, and if you mess around long enough that your friends finish the puzzle you can hop right through to the other side in three moves. Easy peasy.
Loot
No named loot in this this hot dusty dirty mountain.
Prey on the Hunter
We went to Aussircaex’s Valley, holy cats it’s cold there! We were there to get a Dragonshard Essence but what we found was a bunch of crazy Frost Giants trying to steal dragon eggs. Apparently there was a husband and wife team of dragons there guarding the essence and the wife had laid eggs while they were there. I guess the giants decided they were just going to take them and raise some little dragons for themselves. Either that or they were thinking of some bacon and eggs for breakfast. I don’t know. I also don’t know how it is possible to miss a 4 x 10 foot lever. I think Sahba decided it was too dangerous for her to stick around with us because one minute she was there and the next she was gone. Yep, she just up and left us in a big frozen mountain full of giants and dragons! But we were determined and stuck to the plan. And even though we stopped the giants and made a deal with the dragons guarding the essence, I got the feeling that Lessah was considering swiping those dragon eggs herself.
Loot
Hey, guess what? There is some actual named loot here. It’s called the toothpick and it is a masterwork rapier of greater giant bane, ml12 (probably could have used something like that a little sooner huh?).
Stealer of Souls
Did you think we were done out here? We are not! The best is yet to come! We received an essence for completing each of the quests out here. Those will get us into the quest Stealer of Souls. Great quest and I can’t wait! But, in order to get into the explorer area where the quest lives we need three of six gems which come from other explorer areas. More specifically; gianthold, the desert, the orchard, and the three areas out here. All six of the gems have long crazy names and you can look them up in the wiki. It will be good practice for you. We are in the process of getting those now and I imagine we will have them by the time we meet again. I have a very wild imagination so who knows.

Reavers Reach in the Siber Atoll
Monastery of the Scorpion
OK, in order to get to this place you need to go speak to a guy at the top of the airship tower in the marketplace and he will fly you out over the ocean and make you jump off. And he doesn’t even get close to the water or anything. Then you swim under the water and into a crack into the ocean floor. All of this will bring you to a room where the Reaver is just kicking back, dishing out the fly spell and talking people into doing thing they wouldn’t normally do. We talked to some woman who was hanging around in there and she opened up a portal, which of course we entered, and it looked really pretty in there at first. But there turned out to be a lot of ghosts and undead things roaming around in there so we went into what looked like a little cave opening. Turned out to be some sort of monastery or something I think because there were a bunch of very angry monks in there. There were an amazing number of traps in there for a monastery though and quite a few puzzles. When we got to the end there was a very large drow scorpion with a fancy for casting dancing balls running around trying to kill Lessah and I. Fortunately, Sahba solve some weird puzzle and he just dropped dead at our feet. We got ripped off for a chest too. 🙁
Enter the Kobold
This quest is really easy.
…Until you get to the end.

The Sane Asylum, etc…
We did Spies in the House and VON 3 before doing The Sane Asylum. First was Spies in the house. In house D this d’Denieth dude says he wants us to go down a road, Blood Road to be exact, just to see what is down there and if there happens to be any bad pirates we should kill them. Really? Then he says the road is “right there” and has us jump in the sewer. I knew there wasn’t any road down there but I went anyway. There wasn’t. There was a lot of jumping to be done to get out of the sewer and I’m happy to report that we did a pretty good job at that. And yes, there were some bad pirates that needed killing as well as a couple of gargoyles that had apparently been down there way too long. They were nuts.
Von 3 is same as it ever was.
The Sane Asylum is not so sane. I guess the rulers of the Twelve had placed an informant in there. To me that’s just odd to start with. He went missing. What did they expect? We were supposed to go find him and get him out. Honestly, I don’t recall seeing him. Of course I’m not so sure about what I did see so… I think there were daydreams and nightmares and supposed reality. Quite a few relatives of Fred and Fred himself and a beholder called Nurse Ratchet who was doing nasty things. Oh, I did see the right and wrong eyes but I didn’t bother them. They were crazy.

The Depths
Last night we did the depths. It was quick, fun, and easy. Of course, we were 2 to 3 levels over the quest level. So there’s that. But those quests are just fun! And there are plenty of chests and quite a few collectables. Plus, Lessah let us in on the secrete activities of Paladin Conventions. Who knew falafels were so popular AND that they have a mandatory bedtime of nine o’clock?! Evidently they are a rambunctious group, telling jokes and anecdotes. Lessah really has a doozy saved up for the next con! I would tell you but I wouldn’t want it to get out and spoil the convention for her.
We also did Purge the Heretics and Caged Trolls. Caged Trolls is another quest I really like, for some reason I like going from room to room and freeing the trolls only to kill them. I think one of the reasons this quest became a favorite is because this is around the level when everything seems to be a killing undead quest and this is a little break from that. None of these quests has any named loot so that means we get to talk about War Wizard Commendation Rewards!
LOOT!!
You can trade 3 of any other commendation for 1 war wizard commendation.
The Damsels of DDO are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. This week, we conquered some slave lords, sort of. Slave Pits of the Undercity
Drevok asked us to help collect Codex Pages and Mysterious Remnants. He said that one of the Codex Pages was being held hostage by a lady named Dame Gold, who won’t give it up until someone comes to deal with the slave lords that are annoying her. Since these pages and remnants are evil and need to be gathered up we agree to go into the slave pits and find this lady to see what we could do to fix this situation.
We found her in a place called the Forsaken Temple. With a name like that I’m not sure what she expected. She was hanging out with her advisor and a dude that makes all of her clothes (what a prima donna). We tried to get the page from her but Drevok was right, she wouldn’t give it up. Actually I think we could have talked her out of it but she didn’t want to lose face in front of her advisor since sending us to take care of the slavers that they allowed to make a base there was his idea. She said they were selling them off to the highest bidder and we should probably hurry.
OK, so what really happened was, we looked for slaves and levers. We found slaves, like more than 40 but the levers are like out in plain sight so they are really hard to find. And we had to look a lot! No one died, if you don’t count Sahba’s hire and we fought a bunch of rats, umberhulks, skeletons, and orcs or were they half orcs? Either way, their living conditions were deplorable! They are either really bad at the slave game or they don’t charge enough. The quest was fun and I am looking forward to doing the rest of them. Oh, and being a ranged ranger is not half bad.

The take-away…you can’t change the past, HG Wells figured that out ages ago. You can only change the future.
The Shroud
We got our three wolfy friends cuz apparently we only have three friends and decided to run the Shroud!
Part 1, called the challenge of the waning moons, is where we take out all of the portals before the monsters and portal keeper can over run us. Everything went smoothly ie. no portal keepers.
Part 2, called the challenge of the new moons, is where we teleport into a maze and kill all of the trash before we take on the 4 bosses located in the center. We got the orc, fire, orthon, and knoll. I don’t know about the rest of them since I was on fire but let me tell you, creeping cold does an awesome job on fire!!
Part 3, called the challenge of the waxing moons, is where we teleport into a locked room that has a lights on/out puzzle to solve which opens the door. This needs to be done in a timely manner because the killer wall will appear and begin to travel around and around. We smashed it and didn’t even see that bad ‘ol wall. Yay! Right before going in to part four there is a skeleton that will buy things from you if your backpack is too full and will repair your equipment if you have managed to get yourself killed so many times that you are naked. He charges a premium for his services so you might want to consider how badly you need repairs.
Part 4, called the challenge of the full moon, is where we first meet Harry. Harry has fire balls, the delayed blast kind I think and meteor swarm and he is not afraid to use them. Poor Renty went down in the first round and in the second round…well….let’s just say when I looked around there was only me, Lessah, and Dash. I managed to hang in there for two more rounds and then Lessah and Dash had to bring it home on their own. I think it took about four more rounds but they did it!! We cheered like crazy!
Part 5, called the challenge of the lost moon, is where Harry has a lot more hit points than when we last met and also the awful blades. First we take out the 4 bosses again and then tackle Harry. There are little pools in the 4 corners that will give back hit points and mana for a short time but it takes so long to get mana back that way we didn’t spend much time doing that, even though Lessah and Dash were the only ones that got to shrine in the last part. This went much better than part four, Harry went down pretty quickly and we barely had any blades come out. After completion four portal come up along the walls and each one will take you to a different part of the quest, so any chest you may have missed you can go back for. We did. All in all it was lots of fun and I, for one, want to do it again! Soon I hope!
Loot
So, now you have gathered whatever you need to make your greensteel blank from doing the keying quests, here is where you get the ingredients to make your blank into something awesome. If you plan to make items to wear you will need to cleanse everything after the first one or it will make you sick. The cleansing stone will be an end reward choice on each 20th trip through the raid. If you are making swords, you can use two at once without cleansing to one of them.
Part 1/2- Shards of power, small energy cells, and small ingredients. These items are used for Tier one effects and are crafted by using the Altar of Invasion.
Part 3- Shards of great power, medium energy cells (possibly depleted), and medium ingredients. Depleted medium energy cells can be powered by combining them with a weapon with a listed value of +6 or higher in the Altar of Subjugation. This is also the altar used to add tier two effects.
Part 4/5- Shards of supreme power, high energy cells (possibly depleted), and large ingredients. Depleted high energy cells can be powered by combining them with a weapon with a listed value of +8 or higher in the Altar of Devastation. For some reason this doesn’t work with Thaumaturgy weapons. This is also the altar used to add tier three effects.
Wolfpack Shroud was one of the more fun things we have done with our wolves. The come from behind win was the best part for me, and stepping on the puzzle with four paws instead of two feet was highly entertaining. (And the most challenging!) I really want to keep going and see where this wolf-stuffl leads!

All Things Mythery: (theme song by the amazing Bonniebew!)
Mythery Says: Firewall is a cantrip. (In where I now make things up about Mythery!) This means she can cast it as many times as she wants with no cost of mana! We will petition the devs to make this so!
Myth: Why am I last? Me: Because you are the prettiest. Myth: Oh. Ok.
Me: When Mythery Cries the World Cries with her. Myth: That’s why it rains so much.
Mythery is an uncaring master.
Mythery Thought: Why did my warlock have all of the pretty robes?
In a special Ask Mythery!
The Damsels use their influence to get a special spell named after Mythery!
Lessah’s pitch: The Mythery Bomb – Kills every mob in your line of sight that isn’t a red named instantly, and uses all of the mana in your bar. (for balance) You are not allowed to cast spells for the next five minutes, even after shrining.

Did not watch Dr. Who. Watched Orphan Black instead.
Outlander!!!!!! Starting saturday. I have soooooo many notes!
I explain a plot badly: Woman from the 40’s goes back to the past and gets a husband upgrade.
Wouldn’t it be great if more women who went missing were really hooking up with hot guys?
Shroud flagging done!
First we had to finish keying by completing Sleeping Dust. Easy peasy. Not much to say about this. We killed spiders until we read the first book so we didn’t get the spider chest but we killed enough ogres so we got 2 chests at the end.
I will say that we rocked Sleeping Dust. I have seen that quest go very poorly, and people have it in their heads that you can’t get it done without a caster you can Finger the Ogres, but that just isn’t true, and we proved it. If anything, we need to thank DDO for staying versatile enough to reward out of the box problem solving.
Umm….what to say what to say. OK, it started out just fine. Stay to the right, stay to the right, stay to the right. Jump in hole, ahhhhhhhhhhh really big fight, really really big fight. Jump in another hole, really big fight. I see a theme. At least two funny things happened, Have you noticed that most of the funny stuff revolves around Draculetta? So, that happened. Then, we jump in another hole. Mind you, we haven’t seen a shrine since the one at the front door, and as we are falling someone says “Hey, this is the end fight.”
This was the greatest quest we never succeeded at! I highly recommend this as a classic dungeon crawl for you and your friends if you have never been there and have little to no experience with Amaranth. It can be conquered if you are willing to take your time and do things the way D&D gods intended it.
The Damsels of DDO are a group of girl gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. What’s that you say? The Damsels have become Gnomes and have upset the natural order of small/ medium/ large, to slightly smaller, more medium, and extra large? It’s not just a rumor, it’s true! Thanks so much for listening!

Sahba Jade tried to kill Lessah in a trap or three.
So we played Gnomes…
Myth’s Gnome is ridiculous-ly powerful.
Lessah’s Gnome is great!

Sahba Jade Gnome is not the top of the kill count…yet.

House K Quests and more!
First, a side note, our new mom, Myuniska, just let us run amok! Especially that Gnomercyjade girl. New mom needs to take the advanced cat herding class asap! Well, at least before she comes back.
OK, we went to House K and did the Ruined Halls, the Lair of Summoning, the Chamber of Insanity, and the Forgotten Caverns. What we learned while we were in these quest, besides the fact that they were really really easy for us and went as smoothly as possible, was that our barbarian is a miss priss who is afraid that she will break a nail if she swings her axe. So, being the good and kind Warlock that I am I threw fireballs at everything so she wouldn’t die or get any monster goop on her new clothes and what did she do? Complained. Yep, that’s right folks, no good deed goes unpunished. That’s OK, I kept helping anyway.
Next, we went to House D and did the depth quests. The Depths of Despair, the Depths of Darkness, the Depths of Doom, and the Depths of Discord. These quests were also incredibly easy which just gave us ample amounts of time to pick on each other (see, cat herding classes) where little miss Gnomercyjade suggested that Myuniska might consider getting a nose job and trying to do something about being so tall.
Finally, we ran Tangleroot until everyone was too tired to pick on each other and then we went to bed.
Loot
Out of the 12 quests we did (18 when Tangleroot is done) the Tangleroot Gorge chain is the only chain with named loot. There are 21 named items that have a possibility of dropping as an end reward.
The Damsels of DDO are a group of girl gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. HOWL! Doctor Whooooooooooo! Season 6 & 7 romp, Matt Smith continues!
Dr Who (Matt Smith specifically) is great with children! I went back over the episodes where he has to help or work with kids. And he’s amazing with kids.
Stormagedon for example. Even baby River Song. He speaks baby! (This bow tie is cool)
The kids from the Christmas special.
The Asylum of the Daleks, I guess Clara the Dalek passed the companion litmus test. That ep itself was cool episode because of a room full of Daleks chanting Dr. Who. If you
The ANgels take Manhattin was fantastic and also very sad…Amy and Rory… but he had to go so he could be Rip Hunter on Legends of Tomorrow, right?
Season 7, Episode 8, Cold War, Frank on a Russian submarine. I will never get tired of this line: “Sir, American aggression gets more intolerable by the day.” It’s just as true now as it was in the 80’s.
And now I MUST tell a “War Story” I rarely do this, in order to hear my Army stories, you have to wait a while and know me, but here goes this one for the live-stream only! Bosnia and Red Dawn.
The Magicians. IS SO GOOD! OMG! Syfy actually made a show that doesn’t suck! I mean wut? Love wins! Penny is my favorite character. So manly!
Rupaul’s drag race..I tweet it and I’m not sorry. #TeamKimchi
Shadowhunters – I have four little words…
Ow ow owwwwwwwooooooo! Wolf pack went back to the Vale!!
We met up with a few of our wolfy friends, Rent-y, Drac-y, and the quiet one or is it the late one or maybe the sleepy one? At any rate is was Big Daddy! We had already done Running with the Devil’s and Ritual Sacrifice so off went doggie paddling to the Coalescence Chamber, we are soooo cute! I always wondered why dogs and cats chase their tails and now I can say from experience that I still have no idea, except that it is just plain and simple, fun! Anyway, we went into Coal Chamber… oh wait, before we started we decided that it would be much easier if one person would take all of the heat for us. Kind of a little wolfy shield of sorts, so we voted and decided it should be Drac! Myth, shh…you aren’t supposed to… What? I wasn’t supposed to tell that part? Oops…umm…well uh you can just edit that part out. So what do I say? OK, before we started Drac volunteered throw himself in front of any danger that might arise while we were in there. He is SO brave! Unfortunately, that strategy resulted in his demise on a fairly regular basis. But his heroic sacrifice meant that things went pretty smoothly for the rest of us. Maybe we should get him some snausages or something.
