Damsels of DDO Episode 102, Restless Isles are Restless

The Damsels are three lady gamers who talk about things that are important to them in the world of Dungeons and Dragons Online. We were feeling a little Restless, so the Damsels went on an island vacation. There were way too many islands, however, and things kept trying to kill them. So it was like a Tuesday! Thanks so much for listening!

Lessah jibberjabbers about things and Myth corrects and Sahba sleeps

    • I had so much to unpack but I can’t remember any of it.
      • I have officially committed to logging on every single day.
    • Reaper babies, 5K Every other day!
      • This is working well this week. We keep saving people’s daughters though. I am sensing a theme.
    • What we learned this week:
      • Lessah: I learned I have a new favorite mid level hireling! Raven? Reaver.
      • Myth: Tempys needs to go back to cleric school
      • Sahba: Gnomercyjade is not a rogue.

Rumors, News, and Lies

  • Reaper Babies – I already know you played, since you dragged me along.  Do you find Reaper challenging? What are your plans for Epics?

  • Before we start!  Spoiler!!!

    • Dr. Who
      • I’m sort of hoping we have all watched so we can actually talk about the show instead of just gush about how much we like Jodie and the companions. ::shrug::  ←—look at that attitude 😛
      • The most recent episode was not their best but I really liked that the frog was the most central figure. Are we ever going to see any of the veteran characters? (*cough* River Song)
      • I am caught up.
    • The Good Place
      • This season has been soooo good! I still wish this show was an hour long. All of the Janets were just great!!!!!
      • I am up to episode 4 of season 3. I like where Chidi’s character is heading and also Tahani.
    • Riverdale
      • Arghhh how stupid can Archie be? Why are they completely ruining that character? I guess we know what’s wrong with Betty’s mom and all of the gargoyle king’s followers, they are all high in pop rocks!! Poor Betty.
      • I haven’t watched it in the last two weeks 🙁 no time. Too much adulting.

Hiding in Plain Sight (no named loot)

Poor Baudry Cartamon, he needs better security. That bugbear Hazadill just won’t leave him alone. I think we managed to run him off again but I’m sure he’ll be back. The most interesting thing that happened while we were looking for Hazadill was the hole Lessah and Sahba seemed to keep falling into and it was a hole full of water. Of course there were some really big blades down in the hole which made it difficult to climb out of. We felt very guilty for leaving Sahba’s mangled little body down in the watery grave while we finished tracking Hazadill down.

(We heard there was air down there!)

Slavers of the Shrieking Mines

Opu the Elder, who happens to be a big monkey, said that many of his warriors had been enslaved and were being forced to work in the mines by these things. He called them the shapeless ones but the were mindflayers and they were using ogre mages as slave masters. So off we went to help. We did our best not to kill Opu’s warrior’s but I have to admit there were a couple of casualties since the monkey’s had been enchanted to attack us as we were trying to save them. But mostly we just went through, Lessah would intimidate the monkey’s to pull them away, then I would turn everyone into stone, and then Sahba and Lessah would kill them. Every so often there would be these clumps of redheaded monkeys called turncoats, who apparently liked it down in the mines and wanted to be with the mindflayers so I guess that turns your hair red, and we got to go weapons free on those guys! Firewalls and fireballs! Oh yeah! It was fun. I want to do it again.

  • Other games

  • 7DTD
    • Alpha 17
      • I am not in love with this yet. It’s just as well.
  • Fallout New Vegas
    • This game is really old but is proving to be fun and a nice time sink when I need a break from all the learning I’m having to do.
  • Tom Clancy’s Division
    • The Underground is SO FUN!

All things Mythery!

A play!

Myth: Fireball! Firewall!

Lessah: Mythery, you can’t cast those here. We can’t kill any miners.

Myth: Oh.

Sahba: (Mythery proceeds to follow the party around and do nothing.)

Lessah: Wow, Mythery has a lot of mana! Who even are you right now?

Myth: That’s because I can’t do anything.

Sahba: (Mythery then realizes she can turn things to stone and proceeds to turn the entire dungeon to stone no matter the situation)

Myth: I need a shrine.

Lessah: There she is!

  • Nothing is going to get done for the next two weeks. I’ll be very lucky to get a decent show out. Mythery, please post all the things!
  • Mythery – Do all the things. Please make the cold spells work at least 50% of the time and design some pretty shoes. Thanks. 🙂 I said please AND thanks!
